Waterski & Wakeboard Coach

Term: 4 - 5 months, Summer May - September/October

Deliver safe, enjoyable, and high-quality waterski coaching for participants of all ages and abilities, promoting skill development and a positive sporting environment.
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate lessons for beginner, intermediate, and advanced participants
- Conduct group and one-to-one sessions professionally
- Ensure all activities comply with Longside Lake safety protocols and governing body standards
- Carry out equipment and site safety checks before each session
- Greet and brief clients, ensuring they understand the session plan, rules, and safety measures
- Promote a fun, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Skills and Experience ...
- BWSW Coaching Level 2 (must be able to deliver all aspects)
- Strong safety awareness and ability to perform rescues or provide first aid
- Confident and friendly in communicating with participants, parents, and staff
- Experience in recording and reporting accidents or incidents
Qualifications ...
- Ski Boat Driver Level 2 (SBD2)
- BWSW Level 1
- UKCC Level 2
Certifications...
- First Aid Certificate
- Enhanced Disclosure Check (DBS / PVG) Certificate
- Safeguarding and Protecting Children Online Certificate
Any other information...
- Previous experience at a busy commercial watersports centre is preferred but not essential
- Enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate about watersports
- Flexible, reliable, and a strong team player

Boat Driver/Coach

Term: Seasonal (May - Sept)
Access Adventures is a registered charity delivering life-changing adaptive sports and activities. This position is a unique opportunity to join our small but growing team. The successful applicant will enjoy a highly challenging, but equally rewarding and enjoyable summer!
- Seasonal position: Approx. May – Sept 2026
- Hours: Full or part time (including evening and weekend sessions)
- Pay: Based on experience and qualifications
- Accommodation: On-site option available for the right candidate
Main responsibilities:
- Boat driving for waterskiing, wakeboarding and inflatables
- Coaching (waterski/ wakeboard/ trick)
- Instructing disabled skiers (providing support in the water)
- Assisting with other on-site activities
- Assisting with the day-to-day running and maintenance of the site, buildings, boat and equipment
Skills and Experience:
We are looking for a motivated and adaptable individual with excellent communication skills, who can work confidently both independently and as part of a team.
Key qualifications/ certifications:
- Ski Boat Driver Level 2 or equivalent
- BWSW qualified coach (Level 1/ 2) or experience within the watersports industry
- Disability experience useful but not essential
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Enhanced DBS Certificate
- Safeguarding and Protecting Children (SPC) Certificate

A Ski Boat Driver qualification (SBD2) is the minimum requirement for a position on the team; however, the BWSW (UKCC) Level 2 coaching qualifications provide you with the perfect tools for the Waterski/Wakeboard Instructor job.
