Euros Medals for GB

There were medals for Great Britain at both the European Barefoot Waterski Championships and the European Boat Wakeboard Championships, which concluded at the weekend.
The biggest haul came from the barefooters at their Championships in Chartres, France, with five competitors collecting 13 individual medals between them and contributing to the Team silver.
At the Boat Wakeboard Europeans in Greece, 15-year-old Marley O’Toole was the sole British medallist.
BAREFOOT
In Open Men, Tom Heaps won gold in both slalom and tricks. Rick Moyes won silver in tricks and bronze in slalom.

Rick also competed in the Senior Men (+35) age category where he won gold in both slalom and tricks, setting a new Senior Men European tricks record.
Robbie Crewe won bronze in both tricks and slalom in Senior Men, with personal best performances in both events.
In Junior Girls, Matilda Mulcahy, who's 17, won silver in both tricks and slalom and took the overall silver.

In Junior Boys, Olly Moore (17) won gold in tricks and silver in slalom. He did so with personal best performances in both.
GB also had three officials at the Championships: Luke Galloway (in his first Euros officiating), Paul Turner and Pia Amsler.
BOAT WAKEBOARD
Team GB at the 2026 Boat Wakeboard Euros in Greece
The Barefoot Euros took place at the same time as the Boat Wakeboard Euros were held in Servia Kozanis in Greece. A small squad of eight riders represented GB with Jay Lloyd acting as team manager.
The only GB medal was won by 15-year-old Marley O'Toole, who took silver in Junior Men.

It’s his second European silver medal. In 2022, he won silver in the Boys’ category.
GB's Scott O'Keefe was Chief Driver at the Championships and Colin Hart was a judge.
Next up for both the Barefoot and Boat Wakeboard squads are their respective World Championships.
The Boat Wakeboard Worlds will be held in Rieti in Italy from 3 to 8 August. The Barefoot Worlds are taking place in Florida, USA, from 17 to 24 October.
