GB Wakeboard Team Head to Euros

Eight British riders are heading to Greece to represent their country at the Europe & Africa Boat Wakeboard Championships next week.
Aged between 14 and 60, the athletes will compete at Lake Polyfytos, Servia Kozanis from 15 to 18 July.
Among those selected for the GB team are two pairs of siblings.
They are Charlie and Isabelle Lloyd who train at Cliff Lakes in Tamworth, along with Holly and James Mathias, who train at Llangorse Lake in Brecon.
Isabelle, who is 15, and 17-year-old Charlie, are seasoned competitors. They represented their country at the World Championships in Italy in 2022 and at the last three Europe & Africa Championships, in 2023, 2024 and 2025. Both have multiple British National titles.

In Greece, Isabelle will compete in the Junior Women category and Charlie in Junior Men. Their dad, Jay Lloyd, joins them, acting as Team Manager for the first time.
Holly Mathias is the youngest competitor in the GB Team. The 14-year-old will be making her second appearance at the Euros, having made her debut in Spain last year. She competes in Junior Women.

James, for whom it will also be a second successive Euros, competes in Junior Men.
The oldest competitor is Mark Osmond (60), who is a member at Isis Water Ski & Wakeboard Club near Reading. He is Team Captain in Greece and will compete in Senior Men. Mark is a veteran of eight previous Euros and three World Championships and was a bronze medallist at the 2022 Euros.
The rest of the GB squad is:
Marley O’Toole (15) who trains at LDB Wakeschool in Chertsey. He has competed at one World Championship and four Euros, winning silver in the Boys’ category at the 2022 competition. He is a multiple British National Champion. He will compete in Junior Men.
Lily Williams (15) from Cotswold Water Ski Club near Cirencester was 2025 British National Champion in the Junior Women category and this will be her second Euros.
Morgan Williams (27) will compete in Open Men. He trains in Torquay and this will be his second Euros.

The riders will be competing this weekend at the 2026 Midlands Nautique Wakeboard Nationals at Xtreme Wake, Grendon Lakes near Northampton, before heading to Greece.
