Masters Champions

26 May 2025

Congratulations to Freddie Winter and Joel Poland who both won titles at the 2025 Masters in Georgia, USA, at the weekend.

Freddie’s win in the Men’s Slalom was extra special, coming less than a year after he suffered a career-threatening injury.  He called it his ‘sweetest victory’.

Freddie, who’s now won the Masters three times, beat the world record holder and multiple Masters winner, Nate Smith of the USA, who finished half a buoy behind Freddie in second and Canada’s Cole McCormick, the 2024 winner who had to settle for third.

Freddie’s winning score was score of 2.5 buoys at 10.25 metres.

A few hours later Joel Poland took the Men’s Jump title for the third time and the second successive year.

With the three other finalists to jump after him, Joel booted a massive leap of 70.1 metres.

No one could come close, with Canada’s Ryan Dodd managing 66.3m for second place and Igor Morozov (IWWF) 65.1m for third.
