Level 1 - Cable Wakeboard Instructor

BWSW Level 1 Cable Wakeboard Instructor

Who is it for?

The Level 1 Cable Wakeboard qualification is recommended for anyone who wants to instruct beginners at a wake park. Candidates will be certified to instruct beginners on their first session. The qualification meets the minimum standard for Instructing unaccompanied at the level outlined below.

What do you learn?

The Level 1 Cable Wakeboard Instructor  is a blended learning coaching course and covers many areas relevant to being a SAFE, FUN and EFFECTIVE instructor. This includes learning about safety practices, customer service, risk assessment, delivery skills and a foundation cable wakeboard technical knowledge.

You will ride and instruct for each other on the course up to the level of riding that could be seen on a participant’s first few sessions and everything on the Progressive Edge Bronze Award. This includes a beginner land lesson, beginner deep water start (Straight-Line Cable) and/or beginner dock start (Full-Size Cable), correct riding position, edging (heel and toe) and corners.
